Mothers Day was nice but seemed like any other day since I worked the weekend at the hospital and didn’t get to spend time with the fam. Rick & Drew went to my parents house on Saturday and to his sisters house on Sunday. He was exhausted Sunday night from all the running around. Rick and Drew surprised me with a gift certificate to GB & Co. I may use it for a much needed pedicure…time to relax. I received lots of hugs and kisses from Drew that day. Rick was constantly telling him, “give mommy hugs for mothers day” and he’d run over to me, wrap his little arms around my neck and say "mmmmma"- that’s how he gives kisses. He gives the BEST hugs and kisses!!
Drew has turned into quite a daddy’s boy. He is about a ½ step behind him at all times. Rick was putting the lawn mower blades back on the mower after sharpening them and Drew had to be between Rick and the mower to see what was going on. I think it made things a bit harder for Rick but he eventually got the job done. Rick is busy doing lots of things these days. He plays softball on Wednesday nights and is supposed to be a sub on Tuesday nights. I can’t wait for a non windy, early game to take Drew to. He is in bed around 7:30 so a late game might be hard because he literally points to his bed when he is tired and needs to lay down. The kid needs his sleep like his mommy. Rick is also working on power washing the deck. It seems to be quite the job. The next step is to get it sealed and then we should be good for awhile. We finally got the windows washed this weekend and being that we knew it isn't going to happen this fall or even next spring we knew it had to be done now. Kelly and Greg took Drew to their house for the afternoon so we could get the job done…uninterrupted. It went so well that we got the flowers planted too. What a productive weekend.

Last but not least we want to congratulate Ricks brother, Chris and Theresa on their engagement and setting a date for their wedding. They are set for Jan 24th, 2009. It seems far away but will be here before they know it.
